We get to teach our grandkids stuff that our parents wouldn't let us do and feed them stuff that won't hurt them but is fun, like cold pizza or chocolate malts for breakfast, and of course, ice cream.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-64372436421209791562014-09-04T21:05:04.749-05:002014-09-04T21:05:04.749-05:00Harry...I'm not big on cereal either unless it...Harry...I'm not big on cereal either unless it is made into rice krispie bars. Often I will skip breakfast in the morning, have a sandwich for lunch and then fix a plate of bacon or sausage, eggs and hash browns for supper. I rarely eat out, but when I do, I'd rather go out for breakfast than for dinner.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-17263479269363076542014-09-04T20:50:36.944-05:002014-09-04T20:50:36.944-05:00As a Grandparent I have done my duty and my grands...As a Grandparent I have done my duty and my grandson is now hooked on ice cream, but not for breakfast.
Yet. I do plan on teaching him the finer art of cold pizza, among other foods to be eaten cold for breakfast. My mom would have a cup cake and milk sometimes. "You can't feed those kids ice cream for breakfast," she'd say. And he would tell her, with a completely straight face but with a twinkle in his eye and a wink at you kids, that he was using Carnation Instant Breakfast for flavor and ice cream was dairy and so was the milk. And sometimes he would hand each of you a banana to show that he was feeding you fruit, too. He just loved making you malts for breakfast!Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-16132463292945795972014-09-04T19:36:21.944-05:002014-09-04T19:36:21.944-05:00I remember those Carnation instant breakfast malts...I remember those Carnation instant breakfast malts. No problem.

I don't do real well with moderation, either. Which is why I can't keep candy in the house. This is where my lousy memory is a help.
