We don't eat a lot of sweets here, but it is nice to have something sweet for a treat now and then. Especially when it is homemade. That always seems to taste so much better than store bought. I was glad to find that the vendor we have bought honey from in the past was at the Market again this season. I was down to maybe a quart of honey from the last batch I bought from him. I really want to put back a goodly amount for there are so many uses for it and it really does last forever.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-38201393240409822732015-07-05T19:06:36.257-05:002015-07-05T19:06:36.257-05:00Our only bee keeper died and now I have to buy sto...Our only bee keeper died and now I have to buy store bought honey. It really isn't as good as the real thing. It costs more, too. I am not much on sweet things but we do have strawberry jam in our supplies.Harry Flashmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05071021900005041592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-13895778298484120732015-07-05T16:15:24.251-05:002015-07-05T16:15:24.251-05:00I'm sorry, Gorges! Although I'm thinking that strawberry jam probably wouldn't set too well on her tummy. :)Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-82265534406148859382015-07-05T15:03:27.178-05:002015-07-05T15:03:27.178-05:00Sometimes, your posts make me hungry!Sometimes, your posts make me hungry!Gorges Smythehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08777621500611603786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-81560913430191558072015-07-05T14:40:22.246-05:002015-07-05T14:40:22.246-05:00Deb...In my opinion, honey is one of the best food...Deb...In my opinion, honey is one of the best foods to store. There are so many uses - both medicinal and as a food. The honey from this Farmers Market vendor is absolutely the best I have ever had. I hope to have at least as much as you store by the time the Market closes for the winter.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-50689760610507607712015-07-05T13:59:21.296-05:002015-07-05T13:59:21.296-05:00we buy honey every year from a beekeeper, after th...we buy honey every year from a beekeeper, after the ragweed blooms. helps my daughter feel better. seems to calm the allergies and migraines.<br />we get twelve quarts and she eats some every day. the leftovers i store because it keeps for centuries.deb harveyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05110992898072146282noreply@blogger.com
