I tend to get stubborn and keep at something until I figure it out!! I'm sure you will love your new iPad. I usually don't buy stuff like that, but I have a bit of mad money saved, and I decided it was time I treated myself!! Some people go through withdrawl when their cell phones won't work. It is battery powered and a simple solar device (link available upon request) will power it back to full charge within minutes. Most books from Amazon are less than five dollars. You'll love it. I know that it won't work in a grid-down situation, but until then it is the best solution for me. Some folks escape into TV. I escape into a book. I'm not happy unless I have something to read and this solves the problem.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-11948110250366842532014-03-12T07:44:55.836-05:002014-03-12T07:44:55.836-05:00Harry...I got mine strictly for reading, so no bel...Harry...I got mine strictly for reading, so no bells and whistles. I had to figure out setting up WiFi just so I could register the dang thing because it wouldn't work without registration. I won't be buying books for it because I don't use credit cards. Over time I have downloaded around 500 books, mostly from the "Project Gutenberg" website and a couple of others, for free. Because my computer is a desktop model, the only way I could read those books was sitting at my desk, and I wanted to be able to sit and read in a comphy chair or in bed, so I think this will work well for what I had in mind.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-11406090459697969292014-03-12T04:23:39.868-05:002014-03-12T04:23:39.868-05:00I believe that I've decided not to fool with o...I believe that I've decided not to fool with one. It crashes so much they have a built in application that asks you if you want to restore your tabs after a crash. I have read on line that some people who are technically savvy can change the operating system enough to use a browser called Dolphin but that is beyond me.<br />Everytime I call Amazon support for help with my Kindle, I get Indians. They are nice people but I can't understand them very well.Harry Flashmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05071021900005041592noreply@blogger.com
