I think it may get warm enough for me to open a window or two and let in that lovely, fresh spring air.

Sounds to me like your college library came up with a good solution to the overdue book problem. Can you imagine what would happen if those poor, stressed out snowflake students of today were confronted with the option of paying or forget about registering for classes or graduating? Once they ventured out of their safe spaces, protests would be held, a list of demands would be submitted to the administration and tears would be shed at the unfairness of it all. :)

Glad you are able to get in you garden. The asparagus won't hit the Market for a few weeks, but I hope to get enough to can a few half pint jars. I'm the only one who likes it, so it will be mine - all mine (insert evil laugh here). Enjoy your day of dirt digging!Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-9004655159486560642017-05-04T10:13:36.626-05:002017-05-04T10:13:36.626-05:00Quiet days are good. The school didn't charge late fees either. If enough time elapsed, however, they'd charge for the entire cost of the book plus a processing fee per book. It was great training for me in dealing with irate customers. Let's just say that most people had bills that ran for pages. If the customer was reasonable, the supervisor would knock the bill down to the processing fee per book. If not, well, they could just pay the whole book. And the bill eventually got paid because either the student couldn't register for more classes or couldn't graduate. Those were the days....

Off to the garden soon. It's a sunny day here in between rain storms. Have to tend to the weeds and, hopefully, harvest some more asparagus.
Cheers, SJAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-77706492824298309362017-05-04T06:22:43.160-05:002017-05-04T06:22:43.160-05:00Kristina...I'm guessing you didn't get all...Kristina...I'm guessing you didn't get all stressed over a few overdue books. :)
I am continually amazed at the lengths these snowflakes go to in order to avoid the real world where the rest of us live.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-80798270251530466822017-05-04T05:45:02.580-05:002017-05-04T05:45:02.580-05:00Ha, I had to laugh about the library fees. They can usually be found huddled in their safe spaces. I have to wonder how that commentor you mentioned figures that snowflake equals racist. I guess if that person can not find a good argument to back up their beliefs, tossing out the race card is all they have. Pathetic, really. :)

It surely would be nice if the only stress in our lives was overdue library fees. I honestly don't know how the snowflakes are going to survive when they leave school and discover there are no safe spaces in the real world and nobody cares if they are offended. Gonna be a shock to the system, I think.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-42261148383055849222017-05-04T03:08:48.896-05:002017-05-04T03:08:48.896-05:00Jenn...The weather guessers here say temps in the ...Jenn...The weather guessers here say temps in the mid 60's for at least a week. I hope they are right this time. I have had enough of cold and rain.

I'm not sure where the term 'snowflake' came from, but it sure does fit those delicate little flowers who need safe spaces and are all worried about microaggressions. Unless they grow up and face reality, they will never be able to function in society. I wonder who ties their shoes for them each morning. :)
Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409645438732452330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-24614525097198172752017-05-04T03:00:15.672-05:002017-05-04T03:00:15.672-05:00Gorges...I'm just happy there is no more snow ...Gorges...I'm just happy there is no more snow in the forecast. She also wondered why the person was termed a snowflake. She is probably stressed by library fees, too. If library overdue fees were my greatest stressor, I would feel I was leading a charmed life.Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6292915201767940326.post-82875344638109998322017-05-03T21:25:13.930-05:002017-05-03T21:25:13.930-05:00Warming up here too!
