I'm Done

So I'm scanning the headlines this evening and I find that Wikileaks has released emails concerning speeches made by Hillary to big money groups.  And then I see where an audio tape from eleven years ago in which Trump engages in locker room talk has also been released.  I'm pretty sure both of these will provide more mud to be slung about.

I am tired of both candidates wasting my time and discounting my intelligence in order to bash one another.  If they insist on participating in a mud wrestling match, fine.  But I don't want to hear any more about who did what to whom.  I want to know what they will do to help the American people get out of this mess we find ourselves in.  I want to know what they will do to make America as good a place for my grandchildren to grow up as it was for me.  I do not wish to watch a couple of clowns thumbing their noses at one another crying, "Neener, Neener, Neener."

Really, America.  This is the best we can do?  Unless an honest to God Constitution loving statesman emerges out of this train wreck of a presidential campaign, I'm done.  Just let me know when it is over.

  1. Another 30 days then the dust will settle. Mr T is Better then H. H will be more of the same as the last 8 years.

  2. Rob... The sooner, the better. I am just so very tired of the whole circus.

  3. Just wait until Dayton is up for re election. It will be ugly again

  4. Rob...A box of rocks would have made a better governor than Dayton. He has single-handedly ruined a perfectly good state.

  5. I'm just hoping the Lord gives us the president we need, rather than the one that we, as a nation, deserve.

  6. Gorges...I am with you on that. If we get what we deserve, we are toast.

  7. I'm looking more and more toward Darrell Castle. Of course, when I say that every one says, "Well, I like him but he can't possibly win."
But if everyone who thinks that would just vote for him, he might. Or at least he might have enough votes to get his party more noticed and it would be so nice to have a real choice, rather than the same, same, more of the same that we have had for so long.

  8. Spikessib...From the little I have read about him, I tend to agree with you. He seems to stand for everything I believe in. I think it is the same, same and same that have put us in the hole we are in today. It would be refreshing to have a president who honestly is interested in what "we the people" care about.

  9. Nothing they say about each other surprises me anymore. I just want to get on to what the future holds for us as each sees it. Of course, past actions predict future actions. Bill Clinton should keep his mouth shut. He lost the election for Hillary before with his big mouth!

  10. Linda...I'm with you. I am far more interested in what the future holds than I am in watching the candidates roll around in the mud. Seems to me they are too busy digging up dirt to pay attention to the problems of the people they wish to govern. Sad, really.

  11. It is a train wreck in the making for sure. I took a break from all things electronic earlier in the week because I just needed a break. I actually read a few books - real ones with pages I could turn. SJ in Vancouver BC

  12. SJ...I'm with you. Although my Kindle has been getting a workout - that's where most of my books are stored. I may have some interest in our politics after the train goes off the cliff and the dust has settled. But until then I think I will devote my time and energy to other things. My tolerance level for bs has been exceeded.

  13. Everything's already been said, Mom. All that is left is the mud slinging and nose thumbing.

Sadly, I think Hillary is going to win and America is going to lose.

  14. Glen...I think you are right. Obama has spent the past eight years doing his best to wreck a perfectly good country. But he is a rank amateur compared to Hillary. I don't know what will happen if she is elected. I just know it won't be pretty.
