Vicki, those pictures of your mom are just priceless! I particularly like the one where she is holding all of the puppies! You are right! My mom has been gone for 18 years, and I still miss her...CW
CW...The picture of Mom with the puppies is one of my favorites. The one where she is working on some kind of needlework is typical. That's where I gained my love of sewing. She died at the same age I am now, 23 years ago and I still miss her.
Red...I think the top picture was taken when my Mom was 14 or 15. And I love the puppy picture!
Good for your Mom. I think the way to stay young is to stay active. My Mom-in-law was always doing something - gardening, quilting, going out with friends. She lived to be nearly 100.
Thank you, Rob...In her later years, my mom didn't like to have her picture taken either, due to how badly crippled she became. That didn't matter to her kids or grands. They just loved her, no matter what.
Mom of four, Grandma of six, and Great Grandma of two, who writes about events both past and present, about preparedness and an occasional rant tossed in for good measure, as well as anything else that happens to come to mind, and who enjoys my retired life in general.

ReplyDeleteThe top picture and the one with the puppies reminds me of my Mom-in-Law. My Mom is still going strong at 85. She works in her garden everyday.
