Bat Guano Crazy

It seems that we are there.  Common sense has left the building and is replaced by insanity.

I live in Minnesota.  My apartment is located in a western suburb of Minneapolis.  So far, things seem quiet here.  But for how long?

I have been watching the local news concerning the events, including all of the deportation efforts.  And I am having a hard time understanding all of the objections to removing criminals from our country.  Seems to me that when a person decides to break our laws the minute they step onto United States soil, that person should not be surprised when they have to go back where they came from.

But what bothers me the most is the raw hatred of many of our citizens.  Minnesota nice?  Really?  The Minnesota Nice thing used to be true.  It still is outside the cities.  I am sure there are still good people living in Minneapolis.  Sadly, those are not the ones we hear about.  We hear about those who have stolen vast amounts of money from the rest of us.  We hear about those who do everything in their power to prevent law enforcement from rounding up the criminals.  And we hear the wailing of those who haven't yet figured out that if one plays stupid games like trying to run over officers, chances are pretty good they will win stupid prizes.

I have tried all my life to be a person who is fair, especially with those of different ethnicities.  Gowing up in the era of the Civil Rights Movement made me more aware.  But now I find that it is not the race of people I am angry with, but those who think it is OK to move into my state and steal billions of dollars from our citizens.

That ticks me off!

As does those who think it is OK to do everything in their power to prevent law enforcement from doing their jobs.  I'm pretty sure that some would want law enforcement to do their jobs if a crisis arose in their lives.  But not in this case.

It is my prayer that the obnoxious Minnesota leaders - the ones who caused this mess in the first place - be put into handcuffs and orange jumpsuits, for that is exactly where they belong.

  1. Vicki, I understand your feelings and sentiments to a perfect “T”. I live in Oregon about 90 miles south of Portland and cannot believe what I see on the news. The whole eastern part of the state wants to secede from the western half and form a state with Idaho. When will this madness end and will we be able to do it peacefully? If the useful idiots who are causing all this have their way, I fear there will be more blood spilled. And what will that get us????
I’m praying for guidance and trusting the good Lord.

  2. Sue...Thank you for checking on me. I know it has been a long time since I posted.

I find it so very sad that so many places are facing the craziness. There was a time when I traveled a lot, and the Washington, Oregon areas were my favorite places to go. And to think that these idiots are ruining the beauty there is sickening.

I don't know if we can ever get back to the place we were years ago, when peace was important and people were mostly friendly. I mourn the loss - here and where you are - along with so many others.

I, too, pray daily that my grands and great-grands will live to see what America was like. I miss it so. God bless you and yours.

  3. Greetings. Good to see you comment, I watch for you almost daily. I,too, shake my head in disbelief at the number of protesters who seem to side with the lawless and illegal people. The magnitude of theft of our money is staggering. I hope with you that we return to common sense and respect and peace soon. Our country can't thrive when we are so divided. Praying for America. Be safe,

    Lucky

  4. Thank you, Lucky, for checking on me. Turns out my son was right when he told me if I didn't have a place to rant, my head would explode! :)

This recent insanity over deportations has been enough to send me over the edge. I just do not understand how anyone can object to ousting those who broke our laws the minute they crossed our borders. To say nothing of those who have stolen billions of American taxpayer dollars. Makes no sense to me how otherwise intelligent people can protest all of this - violently.

Personally, I want my state and my country back the way it was years back. Back when people could talk out their differences. Back when we weren't afraid to enter a city unarmed. Back when most of us including city dwellers were nice to one another.

That's what I pray for daily. God bless you and yours, Lucky!

  7. I've traveled in a few different states. All were filled with good people, who you find mostly in smaller communities, or during a pit stop for something to eat, or to use the restroom. Usually, I didn't stop in larger cities, since I knew they would be much like Houston, which is filled with good people surrounded by those you don't want to deal with.

All the good things to be found in a large city are tarnished by crooked politics, and the people that don't relish polite company, nor feel integrity is important. For those that only have those cities as examples of the people of a state, their prejudices are understandable, but not tolerable.

    1. Good points, Jess...I have watched over the years, the deterioration of Minneapolis. Years ago I had relatives living there - peacefully. Now I would not consider going there unarmed.

It irritates me that the entire state is being portrayed as the city. That couldn't be further from the truth. Seems to me everything would be better if the politicians would just go away!

  8. 'Good to see you back, Vicki!

There's only one reason that politicians would stand up against their law-abiding constituencies to support the lawbreakers, and that is because the lawbreakers are their ILLEGALLY voting base! It's for this reason these same politicians also stand AGAINST voter ID, AGAINST proof of citizenship, AGAINST proof of residency, AGAINST in-person, same-day voting, and AGAINST ending mail-in balloting.

I've ofttimes wondered how places like Mexico became such hopelessly failed states... I'm afraid we're witnessing the mechanics of that in real time in our own homeland, Vicki. I guess the salient question I have is, "How bad do things have to get before they're "bad enough" for the likes of us to fight back???"

As for the corruption in your neck of the woods, I TRULY HOPE Trump's DOJ shines a light on what's going on here in CALIFORNIA!!! The corruption here is TRULY ASTOUNDING, and no one's even batting an eye...

God bless you and yours, Vicki!

  9. Pete...I honestly do not know what to do that might have a chance to stop the crazy. It just keeps getting worse on a daily basis - here - in your neck of the woods.

It is my opinion that as long as the politicians - yours - mine - have their fingers in the pie, we are doomed.

I want my state back. I want my country back. Looks to me like none of that is going to happen.

Take care, my friend. Keep praying. That is the only hope left.
