Things Are Looking Up

My body seems to be in fairly good working order.  The weather has cooled down a bit with temperatures not reaching 70 degrees.    Seemed like a good bread baking morning.

A while ago Jess from Scratching To Escape left a comment here saying he liked my posts about bread making.  I joked back that the next time I baked bread, I'd make a pan of cinnamon rolls for him.

There ya go, Jess.  Now if you can just get that Star Wars Teleportation Device working...

  1. I'm working on it, but the flux core resonator is acting up...maybe I should reverse polarity?

  2. I think I may be able to type now, through tears of laughter! If reversing polarity doesn't work, I'll just stuff them into an envelope and mail them.

  3. Oh grief. As soon as Jess has that gizmo fixed I'm going to need info on how to lay my hands in one too.

Snail mail takes far too long...

  4. Dani...Wouldn't that be fun?! Just think of all the stuff a person could send back and forth.

  6. Stephen...Thank you, my friend. The aroma of baking bread always conjures up the vision of home and hearth and comfy rocking chair.

  7. Your bread looks so much better than mine. Maybe I should photoshop my lopsided loaves. Warm bread and real cream butter makes a meal.

  8. lotta joy...I get some pretty wonky looking loaves now and then, too. I just don't take pictures of the bad ones. (grin) You are right about bread making a meal. Last nite's supper was thick slices of bread with butter and a wedge of cheese. Heaven.

  9. Bread looks good. We are not doing any baking due to the weather, we have no air. Yesterday was great weather nice and cool. I want to look into doing more baking with our grill. Its a 3 burner propane one. I think big rolls would be better then a loaf.

  10. Rob...I'm lucky in that my apartment has central air, but even with that it heats up some while baking. I don't buy bread any more, so I make a lot at one time and only have to bake every couple of weeks. I've never tried baking on a grill, but I think you are right about rolls. They would get done all the way through quicker than a loaf. It's all good, no matter how you make it.
