It really doesn't get any better than time with family. I always tease my children that the only reason we had them was for the grandkids. You always get to spoil the grands in ways that you never did with your own children.
Jim...I told mine that if I had known grandkids were going to be so much fun, I would have had them first! The three youngest phoned me this morning, all excited, to tell me about their gift opening. Made my day. And that spoiling thing - one of the best parts of being a grandparent. :)
Fern...Some of my best memories include time spent with my Grands. And they all seem to have inherited a sense of humor, which makes life with them even more fun!
Lisa...From your blog posts, I can see that you are making those wonderful memories with your boys. Good for you. Too soon they grow up and although there are memories to be made then, it seems like the ones that come to the forefront are those made when they were children.
Thank you, SJ...They have their moments, just like all kid do. But when all is said and done, they make me proud. And you are spot on - it is all about family.
Rob...Seems like only yesterday your GS was a baby. They grow so fast. Looks like we got a couple of inches of snow here. Haven't heard if we are getting more. Glad I don't have to go out in it for a while!
Mom of four, Grandma of six, and Great Grandma of two, who writes about events both past and present, about preparedness and an occasional rant tossed in for good measure, as well as anything else that happens to come to mind, and who enjoys my retired life in general.
Amen.
ReplyDeleteStunning! Merry, Merry to you and yours, Vicki
ReplyDeleteThey are growing up too fast, Gorges! Most of 'em are as tall or taller than me now. Time flies.
