I find it funny...

that after all the dire warnings and hysterical hype over today's eclipse, the only folks who will actually be able to see anything are those in Maine.  The rest of the country is under cloud cover.

Don't ever try to tell me that God doesn't have a sense of humor!

  1. Indeed, Vicki... On top of that, the eclipse looks to be another illegal alien coming across the Texas border!

In other news, The eclipse is avoiding California because it fears being charged a tax by Gavin Newsom to cross the state...

    ...Sometimes the humor writes itself...

    1. Indeed, Pete! Your analysis is spot on! And caused me to laugh right out loud!

I see where 'Gruesome Newsom' raising the minimum hourly wage of fast-food workers to $20 is causing either $30 burgers or restaurant closings. And I read where if you move from his state, you are still on the hook for CA taxes.

You have my deepest sympathies, my friend!

    2. Yeah, the "Fight for $15" screamers can't get it though their heads that if their "minimum wage" goes up, the cost of living goes up. Everything gets more expensive, they STILL won't be able to afford anything, and they'll STILL be making MINIMUM WAGE!

As for Newsom's "exit tax," he HOPES that will apply to anyone leaving the state that made over $500K the previous year. Good luck getting THAT past the courts, Captain Hairspray!

If you cross paths with anyone who thinks that Newsom would be a good choice for (GASP!!!) president, just tell them to look at California. The mess Newsom's made of this place will be what he does with the entirety of America if he gets that far!!!

    3. I thought my governor was the worst in the nation, but I have to concede to yours. How anyone can possibly think that he might make a good president is totally beyond me. I hope the Mother Ship returns for both of them! And makes a stop in DC as well!

    1. SJ...As Pete said the other day, laughter keeps one from screaming! And these days there is a choice, and I would much rather laugh than sob hysterically. :)

    1. Glad you had a nice day. Clouds and rain here all day. Not good for watching an eclipse.

  5. We had rain and thunderstorms all day. More Tuesday and Wednesday in Louisiana.
So I watched it on the NASA you tube page.
People who think Biden gave us a better economy scare me.
All we can do is pray for God's mercy.
You all be safe and God bless.

  6. Linda G...The thunderstorms missed us, but cloudy and wet were descriptive of the day. I am with you on the economy, especially when I get my grocery bill! Take care and God bless.

  7. We are in Southern Illinois and 100% totality and not a cloud in the sky. It was an awesome experience.
