Harry...They just sort of went crazy! I don't think they did anything special to get them to grow like that. His whole garden is pretty good this year.
Rob...I remember seeing fields of sunflowers in our area years ago. Don't know why the farmers stopped growing them here. Or maybe they do and I just haven't seen them.
Mom, Jacob has been asking every morning if the one sunflower he brought home from Kindergarten has bloomed yet. He is sad when I tell him not yet. He keeps asking me what day will it bloom? It is so close, but hasn't as of this morning. I sure hope his plant blooms today or tomorrow. He will be so excited.
David...Those sunflowers were about the best thing you could have planted. The kids have had so much fun with them. And their Grandma is getting a lot of enjoyment in hearing their comments and seeing the pictures. Poor Jacob. I sure hope his school sunflower blooms soon, too! It is tough having to be patient when you are six going on seven! I have trouble being patient at 68! Love, Mom

Whoa, that is a VERY TALL sunflower!!! I don't think I've ever seen one so tall. I like it!
