Plans...

don't always work out.  That irritating flu-like bug that visited me has moved on to greener pastures.  But it did put a bit of a crimp in my plans for a couple of sewing days.

However, optimist that I am, a new plan is in the works.  My granddaughter, Boston, is dancing with her studio at Nationals in Wisconsin Dells.  She has four routines with her group today.  I'm not sure yet about tomorrow.  But the competition is being live streamed.   So Grandma will be setting up the laptop where I can see it while sewing.

Regular scheduled programing will commence on Monday.  The coffee is brewed.  The snacks are at hand.  Supper is in the crockpot.  I am all set for some serious sewing machine time and more importantly, some time well spent watching the girl do what she does so well.  Hope you all have a weekend as happy as mine.  :)

  2. I wish my mother had lived in this time of live-streaming and such marvels of technology so she could have seen her grandchildren dance.

  3. Linda...It is a wonderful thing. I can't go to her performances any more, but I still am able to enjoy them and above all, watch her dance. Boston's sister, Maddie has dropped dance and is now in gymnastics. Their meets are not live streamed, but my son sends me videos so I can watch her. Sometimes technology is a good thing. :)

    1. I like to reserve Sundays for quiet time like you do, Harry. Doesn't always work out that way like yesterday when I canned some more chicken. But I got to watch my grand daughter dance in between canner loads, so that was a bonus. I think when there is so much ugly stuff going on around us, we need to do what makes us happy now and then. Helps keep us sane.
