Not Much...

going on right now here in my little Home Sweet Apartment.  Just doing the small daily chores and puttering about with this, that and the other.  Thanksgiving is easy this year since it is just Duane and me, and he is cooking the turkey.  Nearly everything else comes from my deep pantry, so there is no last minute shopping to be done.

I am taking the rest of the week off from blogging.  So this is me...wishing all of you...a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Even with the world's insanity surrounding us, there is so very much to give thanks for.  My wish for you all is a day filled with love, laughter and time spent with those you love.

  4. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! It is one of my favourite holidays...maybe I should celebrate American Thanksgiving too so I have a reason to have turkey again!

    1. Jenn...I can't think of any reason why you can't celebrate with us! Sometimes borders don't matter. Happy Thanksgiving!!

  5. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
I took a page from your playbook and bought a twin bed yesterday. The double-XL is going away tomorrow morning. I can't wait to have some more room in the apartment. And a new mattress--yipee.
    Cheers, SJ

    1. SJ...Thanks for the holiday greeting. Good for you with the new bed. I was astounded how much more room I had in my bedroom when I got rid of the queen size and got the single. And a new mattress always seems to help. I'll bet you will sleep like a baby. :)

    1. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Kristina. Sometimes our celebration is with the whole gang and sometimes, like this year, it is just two of us. But no matter how many we are, it is family that is most important and family I am most thankful for. God bless.

    1. Harry...The turkey will be done in a couple of hours, the pie is cooling on the counter and the sweet potatoes are ready for the oven. Whether it is two of us or 20 of us, it is still a good day. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

  10. Even when it has been just me, I still had all the Thanksgiving fixings. Yes, I can eat the whole pumpkin pie. Exbf and I went to a church dinner here at noon on Thanksgiving. They even gave us turnips and greens--raw. I don't know how to cook turnips.

    1. Linda...It just wouldn't be Thanksgiving without all the fixings. The part I like almost as much as Thanksgiving dinner is the leftovers. :)

I don't know how to cook turnips either.
