The Yarn Has Arrived

So this morning Jill stopped by, hauling in two large bags full of yarn.

There was enough to finish Zach's  afghan.  With any kind of luck I should be able to complete that one in a few days.

And then there was this deliciousness.

Again, I would never have thought of these colors.  That's why I beg Jill to do the shopping for the yarn.  I'm not sure yet just how I will mix these colors, but I have a couple of ideas.  When I get a few granny squares done, I will show them to you.

Boston is going to love this one.

This is going to be such fun!

  1. I can just feel your excitement!!

Dog is beside me sound asleep and snoring. We've already gone for our walk around the block. Woke up yesterday to snow on the grass and rooftops. While we walked today it was hailing. Crazy weather for here. We're getting our winter in March!
Staying cozy on the recliner, playing on the computer and watching movies. All the best to you. SJ

    1. SJ...Takes very little to keep me smiling. New yarn colors will do it!!

We have a storm moving in. Woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of ice pellets hitting my windows. The weather folks are telling us about rain, freezing rain and snow all within the next couple of days. Me...I am ignoring the nastiness outside and concentrating on old movies, audio books and lots of crocheting to finish up the two afghans I'm working on so I can start playing with the new yarn, guilt free. :)

  2. Vicki,
Look at the variegated yarn and then pick the colors from the yarn. You could do this. But, you do get a nice surprise.

    1. Linda...Jill said that's how she picked out the new colors. I suppose I could do the same, but going out isn't working for me these days. Then there is the bonus of spending time with my daughter when she delivers my yarn. That is a good thing.

    2. I realized you were not going out after I posted that. Like I said, you get a nice surprise with the selection. Yes, visiting is a big plus.

    3. Linda...I don't mind staying in, especially on a day like today when we are having snowy, icy winter weather. I'm glad I don't have to go out!

I like the surprise in yarn colors and the visiting. It is all good.

  3. "... with any kind of luck ..." Um, that would include bad luck, which one presumes would be counterproductive. Heh.

    1. Rev. Paul...Is that sort of like "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all."

Your comment made me smile. :)

    1. Jenn...I couldn't stand it - having new yarn just sitting there - so I made up a couple of test granny squares. I'll show you as soon as I have finished Zach's afghan.
