My oldest son Duane has had Covid for the past couple of weeks. Although he tested negative a few days ago, his condition has deteriorated. He has trouble breathing and he finds it difficult to eat.
His brother and sister just arrived to take him to the hospital. They will keep me informed.
I have always been honest with you, so I will admit to being scared. That's why I am calling for the big guns. If you are of a mind to remember him in prayer, my family and I would be grateful.
Prayed and will again.
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend. I knew I could count on you.
DeleteI will include him in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alice. That is much appreciated.
DeleteI will pray for him.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann...We are grateful.
DeleteVicki~ Prayers all around. He needs Ivermectin and Steroids. Red
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend. He needs more than that. His heart and lungs are both stressed. He has been transferred to the best hospital in the state.
DeletePray(ed)ing.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteWe serve a mighty God! Praying...
ReplyDeleteYes we do, Norene...Thank you.
DeleteBlessings and prayers to you and all who are caring for your son, Vicki.
ReplyDeleteFern
He is in the best medical facility he could be in, Fern...Thank you and God bless you and Frank.
DeleteOf course the over-worked medical professionals are left caring for the ignorant people who thought this whole virus was a hoax & refuse to mask & get the vaccine. Hope Duane has lots of $$ to pay for all of his medical expenses. Would have been a better idea to just wear the damn mask, huh?
DeleteThis is so unkind! I’m so angry that the this COVID somehow became a political tug of war and false narratives have swayed people’s actions (as a RN) but I would never not have compassion and prayers for complete recovery. I’m praying for your son!!! Please Jesus let him be OK.
DeleteTo Anonymous...I sincerely believe you are more in need of prayer than is my family, for it must be horrible to live with so much hatred in your soul that you would kick someone who is down. My you find peace. And any other nasty comments will be deleted. May God have mercy on you.
DeleteTo JRE...Thank you so much for your kind words and for the information in your comment further down. But most of all, thank you for your prayers. God bless.
On my way to church with more ptayers for your son & anon, who is obviously sick in the head.
ReplyDeletephs 67...Your prayers are much appreciated. Thank you. And I am also praying for anon. It is so sad to see someone who lives with that kind of hate.
DeleteI just want to add this. 3 weeks ago my son, daughter and their spouses all got COVID. They are 28-31. My daughter-in-law got the sickest. She’s a ICU RN but was Leary about the vaccine. They were all organic eaters, taking Zinc, vitamin D, Elderberry, Vitamin B, immune boosters thinking this would stop this. Two still can’t taste or smell at all and have some other after effects (exhaustion). I have a older daughter also a RN, homecare mostly working with the COVID long haulers. You don’t have that with the “flu”. The COVID is now coming for our younger people and they are getting sicker. Again praying for your son.
ReplyDeleteVicki, my thoughts and prayers are focused around your son and family today. Please keep us informed when you are able. CW
ReplyDeleteCW...Thank you, my friend...I am grateful.
DeletePraying for you and yours, Vicki.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, LTM..We are appreciative.
DeleteSending prayers for him. and you. and the rest of the family.
ReplyDeleteSJ in Vancouver BC
Thank you, SJ...That means so much to us.
DeletePrayers flying in from the Wild, Wild West, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteAs for "anonymous" back there, the "damned masks" didn't stop the Wild, Wild West from having one of the highest per captita COVID case counts in the country... And they've been MANDATED here since the start of this thing... 'Nuf said...
Thank you, Pete...I am truly grateful.
DeleteAs to anonymous - he can go pound sand. Masks wouldn't have helped what we now know is a very serious heart condition. He is in a cardiac unit and they tell us he us 'stable.' I am praying for wisdom for the doctors and strength for my son.
Prayers sent from way up north.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rev. Paul...That means more to us than you can know.
DeletePraying for Duane, his family, and his medical team.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, chipmunk...God bless.
DeletePraying...
ReplyDeleteWe can't thank you enough, sbrgirl.
DeleteFather, please bring healing and recovery.
ReplyDeletePlease deliver and comfort as only You can do.
and please do it quickly.
A heartfelt Amen, Ed...and thank you.
DeleteI know you do not want to hear from me, but I am so sorry your son is ill. You know, there is a way to find out who anonymous is, but I don't know how. Anonymous is cruel.
ReplyDeleteLinda...Thank you so much for your kind words. I truly appreciate them. As far as anonymous goes, it doesn't matter who it is. What does matter is that his/her sole purpose in commenting here is to be hateful and argumentative. Since I don't have the time or patience to deal with that, I just delete.
DeleteI hope all is well with you.
I have stints and all sorts of tests in my future.
DeleteI'm praying for your son. I also believe in Karma and Anon will receive it back at some point. Though I'm already pretty sure that person is miserable.
ReplyDeleteThank you, One Family...I am grateful. I find it sad that there are those who are so driven by hate that they have no compassion. They are in need of prayer, too.
DeleteAny up dates, Vicki?
ReplyDeleteThat would be "updates..."
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking, Pete. He tested negative for Covid. He is on medication to get rid of fluid in his lungs. He has had several stents inserted in his arteries. And I just found out that he is on his way t surgery for a blood clot in his leg. Prayers from the Wild, Wild West and everywhere else are sorely needed right now, my friend. I will likely post an update tomorrow or Wednesday.
DeleteStill praying, Vicki.
DeleteThank you, my friend. It is in God's hands.
DeleteI'm with you on this Vicki...Patrick
ReplyDeleteI am so grateful, Patrick. Thank you.
DeleteStill praying that all goes well, Vicki...CW
ReplyDeleteThank you, CW...Your lips to God's ears.
DeleteMay the Lord bless and keep you, Duane and all that are caring for him.
ReplyDeleteFern
Bless you, Fern, for the caring person that you are.
DeleteI'm sending good thoughts that your son gets well soon, and not turn into a long hauler. And that you avoid coming down with it.
ReplyDeleteI am on JRE's side - over the vaccine (all vaccines really) and masks being politicized. This is not "just like the flu". It seems like even after being supposedly recovered, any weakness in the heart, lungs, or vascular system is still a target, with how & why still to be determined. With what's now happened to your son, are you still so very anti-vaccine? It's not meant to be a snarky question, and no answer is here is needed. As I tell DS when I ask him tough questions he doesn't want to answer - it's more important that he's honest with himself than saying what he thinks I want to hear.
I really do wish both of you well.
JustGail...I truly appreciate your good thoughts for my son. I know you will understand that at this moment I am in no mood for a vaccine debate. However, I will tell you that I am not anti vaccines. My children were fully vaccinated when young. I get the pneumonia shot regularly due to the condition of my lungs. My concerns are that this vaccine was rushed through without the proper testing that has been given to previous vaccines. There is no way to determine long term problems. My doctor tells me that I can still catch the virus after taking the vaccine. Bottom line - each of us needs to decide what is best for ourselves and our families.
DeleteI'm glad you aren't totally anti-vaccines. And I wasn't looking for a debate right now. I saw the update post from this morning, glad he's a bit better and hope he continues to improve.
DeleteJustGail...It is regretful that this whole virus/vaccine thing has become so politicized. We should be free to make personal decisions without the need to justify them to those with differing opinions. I'm not so sure we are free to say or do very much any more.
DeleteThank you for your kind words about my son. We are praying for a good outcome.
get your son on either IVERMECTIN OR Hydroxychloroquine zinc and a z pac both can cure him in a day or two.
