from the depths of my heart for your kindness and prayers for my son and my family.
My son Duane fought the good fight but in the early hours of this morning his poor damaged heart gave out. His passing was quick and painless. We are thankful he suffers no more.
I will be away for a time while I deal with the loss of the good son and the good man that he was. Knowing he is safe in the arms of our Lord brings me peace.
Vicki, my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. I will have you in my thoughts and prayers. And yes, Duane was a wonderful man. God bless...CW

DeleteMs Vicki,
ReplyDeleteI felt like I hit a big speed bump at high speed when I read the news about your son's passing.... but I can't imagine what you are going through nor what the rest of your family is going through.
I always though very highly of Duane because he moved in next door and was there to check up on you and make sure you were being taken care of. There are many definitions that describe what a good man is. From what I read on your blog the last several years about Duane, I firmly believe he matched many of these definitions.
The Bible said to honor one's father and mother in Ephesians 6:2-3
Ephesians 6:2–3
ESV version
2 Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), 3 “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”
That was Duane and he set a wonderful and highly honorable example for all of us.
Ms. Vicki, you and your family are in my prayers and much love to you all.
Matt
Matt...You are right. Duane was one of the good guys. Your words of love and prayers mean so much to me. Thank you.
DeleteVicki~ God just received a new Guardian Angel in Duane. Red
ReplyDeleteRed...Duane took it upon himself to watch out for his Mama and I expect he will continue to do so. Thank you.
