Number One Son...

has arrived.  He pulled into Phoenix about a couple of hours ago.  He had a good trip from Minnesota with no problems and he was able to take his time and enjoy the view along the way.

Colorado

Verde Valley/Prescott Arizona area.

When we Moms think of our sons, we think of them like this.

When the reality is this.

I think now that he has reached his destination, he can probably lose the hat!

  2. Gorges...I guess I wasn't clear. My son just moved from Minnesota where I live to the Phoenix, Arizona area. It will be quite some time before I see him again. But he phones regularly and we are going to set up Skype, so it won't be so bad. I don't blame him a bit. The cold really bothers him and our winters are brutal.

  3. It was a great trip. It's been a long time since I had a good road trip...lol.The Flagstaff area reminds me of northern Minnesota, minus the mountains.I kept the hat, as a reminder of what I'm going to be missing. Love, #1 Son.

  4. Son...I'm glad your trip went so well and that you had the time to enjoy it. You are right. Beautiful country up around Flagstaff. I thought the first thing you would do was to ditch that hat! If our winter here gets too bad, I might just have you mail it to me!
    I love you, too.

  5. I'm glad he made it safely. I know what you are saying about how you think of him vs what a man he has become. To my grandma friends I was always little Robbie. Even when I was an adult.

  6. I knew he would get there just fine, but Moms worry. Doesn't matter how old their kid is. We worry. And we always see that little boy or little girl when we look at our kids. Can't help it. We are hardwired that way!

  7. Now that's funny - I also view my son as the first pic of #1. Can't help it ;)

    Glad he arrived safely :)

  8. Thanks, Dani...It doesn't seem to matter that they are all adults who are perfectly capable. They're still my kids. :)
