I Was Wrong

In the comment section of my last post, I made a joke - well, maybe only half joking - about ripping up any government official who came knocking on my door, pushing the vax.  And as much fun as that might be, it is not a good idea.  Here's why.

Prepping - Do NOT open the door - YouTube

I live alone.  Opening my door to ANYONE I do not know is a stupid thing to do.  And I am embarassed that someone else had to point that out to me.

By the way...Pinball Preparedness on YouTube has lots of good, current information.  To access his channel, click on the name shown below each of his videos.  Well worth your time.

Stay safe.

  1. You can be forgiven for speaking your mind as to what would happen.
Because if you say no, what next? Can we trust our government to leave it at that?

Be safe and God bless, Vicki.

    1. LindaG...I still would love to rip up those door knocking government types, and even though I have protection, it still is not wise for me to open a door for someone I do not know. As far as trusting the government goes, I trust a rattlesnake more. You can bet your bottom dollar that data is being collected and lists are being made and none of it bodes well for conservatives.

    1. Thanks, Gorges...It is just that in my anger toward the invasion of my privacy, I failed to note the safety issues of opening a door to anyone I don't know.

  3. You're not wrong, Vicki; you're ANGRY. In this case, it's not wrong to be angry! Just keep your head. D'gubmeyent is COUNTING on us to flop around like a beach fish in anger. It's up to us to be above the useful idiots they're using to try to get to us. As for me, I've got my plan for when they show up... OOPIE-DOOPIE, WE HAVE FUN!!!

    1. You're darned tootin' I'm ANGRY, Pete...Angry that our government would even come up with a plan like this. Angry that they think we are stupid enough to fall for it. Angry that they expect me to have poison injected into my body. And angry because they wouldn't know truth if it bit them on the bum.

As much as I would really, really love to mess with their minds, I won't. For a 75 year old woman with mobility issues to open her door to any stranger is not the smart thing to do. I am, however, counting on you to let us know what happens when they show up on your doorstep!!

    2. I've got one of those "security screen" doors on my front entrance; not because of crime, but because we can leave the door open and the screen door locked for ventilation and security. Funny thing is, unless the person on the inside has a light on behind them, the person on the outside can't see the person on the inside... Kinda like a confessional... 'cept I ain't no priest! OOPIE-DOOPIE, WE HAVE FUN!!!

    3. Pete...I sort of wish I was the mouse in the corner who got to watch what was happening! You have the perfect set-up for all sort of shenanigans :) Enjoy!!

  4. I've been thinking about how to deal with the vaccination squad should they ignore the "No Soliciting" signage.

Our dining room windows are 90 degrees to our front door, and that's how we check out the doorbell ringer.

I'm thinking that a premade tinfoil hat and a chant of "Turn off the mind control ray!" might be effective, but I had another thought.

I typed "fake anvil" into a common search engine and one of the hits is how to make a Styrofoam ACME anvil.
I could stick the anvil up over the front doorstep, and then tell them to look up.

Or I could put up a sign that says, "Cannot speak, use ASL."

    The possibilities are endless.

    1. I just love the way your mind works, John...I have used the tin foil hat wearing senior citizen with dementia persona on phone scammers. They usually hang up on me when I ask where the flying saucer has landed.

I am looking forward to hearing about what you do to the blighters!!

    2. It would take little time to make up one those little paper squares that denote your place in line.
I could open the side window, give them some number like 7 gazillion, wait for them to read it, and then loudly announce, "Now serving number two!" And close the window.
(Yep, I chose the number "two" on purpose.)

    3. Brilliant, John!!! That mental picture is gonna have me grinning for a while.

Due to my location I can't confront them directly without opening my door, but I was thinking about sliding a statement under my door that says I identify as a fully vaccinated person. :)

  5. Vicki, you have a very creative little audience of followers. I imagine we could each conjure up an entertaining method for removal of the unsolicited visitors from the local health departments. Those people who would dare to darken our doors have not a clue as to the welcoming they could receive. Just kidding...wink, wink.

    1. CW...I almost - almost - feel sorry for those who are hired to knock on doors. They really have no clue just who it is they are dealing with. I am pretty sure they believe we are all a bunch of stupid, inbred deplorables. They are in for a rude awakening. As ticked off as I am about the whole notion of going door to door to get us to do something we will not do, it might be fun to see just what sort of reception they get.

  6. This is precisely why we have metal security screen doors with deadbolts. I can open my door and safely give 'em hell. This is a form of intimidation and I won't stand for it.

    1. Tewshooz...I have a deadbolt, but only on a wooden apartment door. So I am counting on you to give them a double dose for me! They think they have the right to do this, but they don't. A pox on the lot of them!

  7. If you want to open your door, do so. It is a free country. You may wish to have a weapon in your hands when you open the door.

    1. That is the only way I would open my door to strangers. Or government minions. Considering that I live in a state run by a governor who would be king, that might land me in the hoosegow. Might be worth it. :)

  8. Oh my, I heard they were going to door to door, but when I think about it, I have never seen the government go to these lengths and it's scary. Very scary. We now know how evil the government can be. I've heard from so many close friends where they got the jab and got very sick with long lasting medical problems. Stay safe!

    1. Kristina...Scares the hell out of me to know the government is sending its minions door to door to talk about something that should be discussed only between me and my doctor. Whether or not I take the jab is in no possible way any of governments business and yet they are taking names and making lists. What worries me more than anything is if they get away with doing this, what's next? Take care.
