Success

So many times we hear of people who are successful on a grand scale...multiple homes, bags full of money, all the latest electronic gadgets, every toy known to man.  But they got nothin' on me.

There is enough of an improvement in the condition of my hip so that this morning I was able to climb in and out of my tub/shower, all by myself, no assistance required.  No more sponge baths.  Woo Hoo!!

My next mountain to be climbed is the stack of dirty dishes waiting patiently for me in my kitchen sink.  I'm betting that later on today, they will be washed, dried and put away.

Sometimes it is not the huge successes that matter.  Sometimes the tiny successes mean more.  For me, at this time, I'll take the tiny ones, happily!

  3. Being old enough to sometimes have a bout with old Arthur myself, I applaud your success!

  4. Thank you, Gorges. (takes a bow!) It seems to be a long, slow process this time, but at least it is moving in the right direction. It's not a total waste of time - I'm getting a lot of things done that require little movement, and that is good.

  6. Rob...Sometimes it's those small victories that keep a person going!

Hope you are doing OK after your hospital stay. You won a bit of a victory there, too, didn't you.

  7. I'm glad you're feeling better, although there's a little selfishness on my part. I like your posts about homemade bread and I have the feeling you'll make some, so I can salivate and dream of hot, fresh bread, with butter and jam.

  8. Jess...With any kind of luck at all I'll be back to my usual ornery self before too long. I've got about a loaf and a half of store bought bread (Ugh) left, and by the time that's gone it will be time, even if I have to sit at my kitchen table to do it! I'll make some cinnamon rolls in your honor.

  9. Enjoy them, with at least one slice of bacon. That's a true breakfast of champions.
