Just dealing with some computer issues. Hope to have them straightened out shortly.
On other fronts, we happily have moved out of the sub-zero deep freeze with a high today of 34 degrees. But this is January and this is Minnesota, so we are looking at single digit temps on the weekend. Guess I won't be working on my tan any time soon.
I will return as soon as I finish swearing at my wonky computer!!

If you want to be ready for bikini season, you could always get a sun lamp. It was 36 here today, BTW, but is supposed to get back to cold weather in 3-4 days.
ReplyDeleteGorges...I don't think anybody wants to see this chubby granny's body stuffed into a bikini, tan or otherwise!! We have temps near 40 degrees here today, but by tomorrow the weather gurus are warning of dropping temps, ice and then up to 6 inches of snow. Glad I will be inside with my hot chocolate and a good book!!
DeleteYou had me laughing out loud with your computer comments. I feel the same way. My laptop is on it's last legs. I hold my breath now each time I boot it up.
ReplyDeleteI've been down since Thursday with a bit of a flu bug. Yuck. Thankful for a full pantry. Today is a bit better.
Cheers, SJ
SJ...I have a love - hate relationship with computers. I love it that I am able to blog and communicate with folks. And the amount of information on the internet is astounding. But computers will also turn me into a bat guano crazy person when they don't work right. Hence, the new laptop. It is by no means top of the line, but it works like a charm and there are no strange noises coming from it's innards. That is a plus and worth the price, which was really reasonable.
DeleteSorry to hear you have been laid low with the flu. I hear that this is pretty common, at least here in the States. I have heard several news reports about so many people down with it. Hope you get to feeling better very soon. That flu is just not fun - not fun at all!
Warm weather came water lines in town broke, including our park. Day two of no running water No idea when we will get it back
ReplyDeleteRob...That is miserable to be without water. Good thing you had some water stashed. I have enough to last me maybe two weeks, but I wish I had room for more. Hope they use this warm spell to get your water running again. I hear there is another storm headed our way. Be safe!
DeleteSee you when you get it figured out.
ReplyDeleteKristina...I got it somewhat figured out, but the ominous little noises are still there. I admit to being somewhat addicted to my computer in that I love the give and take with those like you who comment. And the computer is my source of movies and other entertainment in the evenings. So I finally decided that a replacement was the best thing to do. At the very least I now have a backup, which suits me. :)
