Fruit juice and tea have been sipped.
Chicken soup, that cure for what ails you, has been consumed.
Audio books have been listened to.
Naps under the green fuzzy blanket have been taken. Lots of them.
Yep. Looks like I am going to live after all. :)

Oh gosh, I didn't know you were sick. Glad you are feeling better. Rest, rest and rest.
ReplyDeleteKristina...It was just that nasty flu bug that so many have been plagued with. Luckily it doesn't seem to be lasting as long as most. My Dad used to tell me that I was way too ornery for any bug to stick around very long. Perhaps he was on to something. :)
DeleteYour too stubborn to say down long. Glad your feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rob...Stubborn or ornery - take your pick. :)
DeleteSo glad to see you posting again and to read that you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThe dog turned the corner by Thursday night. He was playing with his toys and sleeping under my recliner 'foot rest'. So more social, yea.
I finally felt well enough to cook on Friday. Made a simple baked chicken. Also used my instant pot for an itty-bitty beef roast. I also finished the last of my jello. I did make some tapioca pudding to use up some milk before it went bad. Yum.
Take good care of yourself so this bug doesn't come back on you.
Cheers, SJ
SJ...After feeling like something you would scrape off the bottom of your shoe, I am glad to be better! So glad you are finally able to eat solid food again. I was worried about you.
DeleteAlso happy to hear that the dog is back to normal. I just hate it when they hurt.
I did the pudding thing and some chicken and all seems well. I am, however, still taking it easy. I don't want to do this again. You had it for a longer time than me, you poor thing. Enough. Time to get back to complaining about the weather instead of suffering the flu. :)
Sorry that you had to suffer through all that, but glad you're now among the WALKING dead! - lol - I don't know if it's true, but I've read that sipping grape juice a few times a day will help you avoid the flu.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gorges...There are so many others who have been suffering with this bug for lots longer than me. I feel sorry for them because this flu is no fun - no fun at all!
DeleteI had not heard about the grape juice. I have some stashed away so I may give it a try. I wonder if that is one of those old home remedies our grandparents used. If so, it likely works.
Looks like you did all the right things to get you on the mend!
ReplyDeleteJenn...Maybe so. It is more likely that I am just so mean when sick that I scared the flu bug away. :)
