If you had any doubt...

about what the intentions of the left are, the last 'debate' should have told you.  They don't even try to hide it any more.  They want to control every part of your life.  They want to take your guns.  They want power and they want to keep power.

Rev. Paul over at "Way Up North" has an article that lays it out clearly and completely and is well worth your time to read.  We are in deep doo, folks, and I believe God is the only one who can fix this.

Pray and prepare.

  1. Amen. The problem is that the majority of Americans are heathens.

    1. Gorges...There are so many who are determined to remove God from every part of our lives that I am not surprised when we wind up in such a mess.

  2. You have completed another canning marathon and bacon is your reward! Good for you, Vicki!

One of the big problems is that life seems semi-normal if you stay clear of the news and politics. Most people are sick of both and have simply quit listening. They are totally uninformed and refuse to see the truth. When the really big poo hits the fan, they are all going to wonder how and why it happened. They will be completely blind-sided.

Today, I chose to slice, dice, and chop my way through a mountain of vegetables. I canned tomatoes and ran two dehydrators...one with peppers and the second with zucchini. Tomorrow will consist of a trip to the garden, and a rinse and repeat of same for the next few weeks. Also have a trip to grocery store planned for a big haul the early part of this week. I do not plan to quit storing up food anytime soon.

Just in case anyone is curious, the crops are no where near what we had last year. We did have some hail damage over the weekend. Harvest should commence in about a week to ten days, which will give us some real numbers for comparison to the last few years.

You are absolutely correct, Vicki. God is our only saving grace and way out of the mess we are in. Pray hard and often, prepare, and be very aware...CW

    1. CW...I got 38 half pints of bacon. My son and I use it often so I am seriously thinking about doing this again later. The price was far less than store bought. I'll do a short post Monday or Tuesday.

I can understand how folks tire of the news and politics, especially if they hear nothing but the main stream media. You are right - I think many just don't want to know. If they knew what was happening around them then they would have to face reality. They would rather pretend all is well. SHTF is going to be a shocker.

Good for you on the slicing and dicing!! Glad to hear your garden is producing. I hear that some have been an almost complete flop this year. I don't plan to stop storing food either. I am debating if I should can baked beans tomorrow as the temps here are supposed to be in the high 80's, but I'm not so sure it is a good idea to slack off. I have a list as long as my arm of stuff I need to get into jars. Do you get the feeling that time is running out?

I have been wondering how your crops were doing. I know that some places they are good and others, not so much. Because Iowa is so close to me, I always see what your weather is doing when I check the radar for my area. I think you have had more storms this summer than we have.

Those who think they are better than us have been so determined to take God out of every area of our lives, it is no wonder things are, as my mother was fond of saying, 'going to hell in a hand basket.' God help us if the dems get their way. I try to stay on top of what is happening. Those people scare me - but not enough to give up. And not enough to stop praying. And not enough to stop preparing.

  3. Those on the left who want to do these things are not someone for whom I would vote. Not all on the left want to take away guns.

    1. Linda...There are some on my side that I wouldn't vote for either. It is those who have gone off the deep end that worry me. I don't want politicians from either side dictating how I should live my life. The fact that you and I can express our opinions to each other without yelling at each other and still remain friends gives me hope.

    2. Linda, when I watched the last Democrat debate each candidate agreed that guns should be taken from gun owners. If any one of these candidates actually became our president and followed through with this threat, the United States would enter into a period of civil war the likes you have never seen before. Our Constitution guarantees us the right to own and use guns responsibly. Please understand, I respect your right to vote because it is your constitutional right. I hope you vote for someone who respects our great Constitution and our right to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government.

    3. The candidates say whet they think will get the vote. Of all things that will NOT happens, taking guns away will never happen.

  4. Trouble is, Vicki, most people I talk to don't even watch the news. It's more important to them who is winning in "fantasy football" than the walls that are slowly closing in on all of us because of their complacency. These people are like doves. Doves are beautiful birds, but they'e as dumb as a box of rocks. A cat will be sneaking up on them while they're on the ground eating, and they'll just continue to eat. Once in a while a dove will stick its head up but will still not see the cat that's three feet from them. By the time they realize the cat's there, it's already got a bird in its mouth. The trouble with doves' "watchstanding" is that no one bird is on watch. A bird will take a snapshot of its surroundings, but will fail to see the change in the environment because it hasn't been watching the whole process. This is our society today. The name of the game is distraction... bread and circuses... Unfortunately , it's working quite well for those in power...

    1. Pete...You are absolutely right. Most just don't care as long as they don't have to deal with reality. If you were today to ask most what they thought about the drone strike on the Saudi oil facilities, you would get a blank stare. But ask about their favorite TV show, they will quote chapter and verse.

One thing I am noticing is that the frequency of 'crisis situations' is escalating. That and the far left rhetoric is becoming more nasty and ugly by the day. They will say and do most anything to keep eyes focused on everything except how quickly our rights are being threatened. I am convinced that the majority of our population will fail to notice until it is way past being too late.
