Miss Maddie Mae...

has been practicing again.

Her Dad wrote:  "My little engine that could. A little practice and she gets her back hand spring!"

When my Maddie Mae sets her mind to something, she keeps at it until it is done.  The girl will go far.

Good for you, Maddie.  You did it again.

Love, Grandma

  1. Bravo. Last time I did something like that in the 1970's I ended up at the ER.:)

  2. Rob...Your comment got me to laughing. Had to wait a bit until I could see to type! I don't think I was ever as limber as that child. I just love to see what she will do next.

  3. I can't even bend forward anymore!!! If I see money on the street, I have to put glue on my shoe to pick it up.

  4. lotta joy...Bubble gum will work, too!! For me it's not the getting down that's tough. It's the getting back up again. If I got my hands on that money on the street, I'd just have to use it to pay someone to hoist me back on my feet. Ah, the Golden Years.

  5. Mary...Maddie Mae so loves the dance lessons and competitions, and so many of the routines involve gymnastic moves. It tickles me to watch her and her sister when they master a new trick. I think I have just as much fun watching as they have doing!

  6. I hope she doesn't hurt her back. That looks risky.

  7. Harry...She has been taking some gymnastic classes where they teach the kids how to do the tricks as safely as possible. Yeah, it's risky. But so is just plain living. I love her tenacity and enthusiasm.
