Tired Of It All

First our President was accused of being an agent for Russia.  Nearly three years and many millions of tax dollars later, the special council in charge of the investigation and his band of attorneys could find no basis for the accusation.

Now our President is undergoing an impeachment investigation over a phone call to the President of Ukraine.  A phone call that was made public and contains nothing even close to 'crimes or misdemeanors.'

And yet the dog and pony show in the House committee continues.  They call it an 'Impeachment Inquiry.'  That is not what it is.  It is just the latest effort by those left leaning politicians to oust our duly elected president.  To tell those whose votes elected him that their votes really do not matter.  And if this effort fails, you can bet your bottom dollar they will try something else.

I am tired of it.  I am tired of it all.  President Trump is the only thing standing in the way of those who would shred our Constitution and initiate their socialist ideals.  Those same socialist ideals that brought us those freedom loving leaders in China, Vietnam, Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela.

Seems to me those House of Representative Democrats have forgotten just who they work for.  They are the People's House, but they have done very little to benefit 'We the People.'  Instead they waste time and our money feeding their hatred.

If they can do this to a duly elected President, imagine what they can do to you.

  1. Amen. This whole thing will blow up in the face of the Liberals, and control with again shift to the Conservatives. Can you imagine what this country would be like if congress got their work done??

On another note, The weather guessers are talking that white crap again.

    1. Rob...There are so many things Congress could be doing for the good of the country, but instead they are concentrating on this. I guess it is true. You just can't fix stupid.

I hope the weather guessers are wrong this time. I am ready for spring. :)

  2. Sadly, such things will continue happening as long as the folks back home keep electing them.

  3. Each and every single day, the "Madhouse" continues to chip away at our Constitution, rule of law, and the people's choice all in the name of saving their own butts and covering for the crimes they themselves committed. Well, the nastier they become, the more intolerant of them people will become. The ONLY thing that will keep DJT from winning 2020 is Dem corruption. They will do anything to control the narrative. Yep, you can only fill a balloon up with so much hot air and then...POP! Take care All...be aware and continue to prepare! CW

    1. CW...Never in my lifetime have I seen anything like the hate and discontent and division as exists now. I fear those who have the most to hide will literally stop at nothing to regain power. God help us if they succeed.

  4. Nothing we say or do will stop them. They are hellbent on our destruction but fail to recognize it will come to them as well.

And this is why we prepare. For me, it's no longer the "it's just common sense to be prepared for life's uncertainties" but rather, "we are really going to have to live off what we have and what we produce." Let's figure things out now so we can care for our families when that time comes.

    1. I wholeheartedly agree with what you say, Jennifer. In light of recent happenings, I would venture to guess we will need our preps much sooner than later. Procrastination is no longer an option.

  6. When Nancy Pelosi was asked how long the inquiry was going to be, she responded 'till the election'. The Democrats are hoping their shenanigans will thwart people to vote for a Democrat. Any Democrat. Prove them wrong and save our country by voting Trump in again in 2020. I can assure you, once Trump is re-elected, the liberals will shrink away.

    1. If Trump is not re-elected, it is all over except for the crying. If he is re-elected, I am not so sure the liberals will fade away. I am more inclined to think they will double down and find new ways to go after him.

    2. Agreed. They will unleash more "Antifa" type unrest on the country and we will descend into anarchy.

  7. It doesn't matter who is elected. The vitriol on both sides has escalated to such a fever pitch that there is no turning back. Because their minions don't actually have much in the way of real jobs, they need us to support them. They will never leave us alone. And the true conservatives will never yield their freedoms.

    Keep on preppin'.

    1. Jennifer...Here's where we can agree to disagree. I think it matters a lot who wins the next election. If one of those who is preaching radical socialism becomes president, I believe we are toast. If Trump is re-elected I think we have a fighting chance to retain our republic. At least for a while. I will agree that both sides are either off the rails or getting close. But I just can't give up all hope. If I do, I might as well crawl into bed, pull the covers over my head and wait to die.

And you are 100% correct. I will not yield and I will not comply. :)

  8. I will never vote for anyone pushing socialism. I will also never vote for Trump. He wants the rules suspended for him. If that happens, the constitution is irreparably damaged. He wants to change how things are done to suit his interests. He lies like a rug. He has changed the fabric of our nation with his schoolyard name calling. This is like nothing I have ever seen. We need a peacemaker, not a rabble-rouser. I am not even sure which Democrat I can vote for.

    1. Linda...You and I have been back and forth on each others blogs for a long time. That's how I know that you are not a mean person and I know that you are not a stupid person either. That being said, I have a hard time understanding your point of view.

There are things I don't like about President Trump. We agree that the name calling is somewhat childish. I think that some of his Tweets are unnecessary. His way of talking can be bold and brash as is typical of the way many New York City people talk.

But from my perspective, I look beyond that to the good things that he is doing for us. I see the unemployment rate is down and businesses, especially small businesses, are flourishing. I see that his trade agreements are for the benefit of Americans as opposed to those of previous administrations where they favored other countries and not ours. I see him working on border security. I see that what he is doing is for the benefit of all Americans.

What I don't understand is which rules exactly have been suspended for him. What are the lies he has told? How has the Constitution been damaged beyond the way it was already damaged before he took office?

I think we can agree that Washington politicians and bureaucrats are among the most corrupt on the planet, caring mostly about lining their own pockets and caring little about the people they are supposed to serve. We needed a rabble-rouser to work at exposing the corruption and to clean out the swamp. That's why we elected Trump. We were tired of 'business as usual' in Washigton. And that's why we wil do our level best to elect him again.

You are always welcome here, Linda, even if our politics differ. I will never shut anyone down, except for an annoying troll who just wants to argue for the sake of arguing, over differences in opinion. In fact, there was a time when I, too, voted Democrat, before the Democratic Party took such a hard left turn into Socialism. I wish you luck in finding someone to vote for, as I fear Socialism is now the only choice on the left.

  9. There are way too many sneaky blighters in Government taking a salary for putting the screws to US. In the mean time, keep putting food aside.I advised a friend about the components method of food storage. A mix will make one batch. The same components for the mix will make multiple different recipes giving a variety for the family.

Just finished drying 15 pounds of carrots, 10 pounds of celery and 10 pounds of green beans. I saw the crop loss report for sugar beets. Which then prompted me to purchase 100 pounds of cane sugar for storage. My Husband did a double take when I came back from the market. He said at least it's not more Bacon. Red

    1. Yep, Red...I don't trust the lot of them any farther than I can toss them!

There was a time when I bought mixes for convenience, but am leaning more toward ingredients. That way I am not limited as to what I can cook or bake. Same with the canning. I still do soups because I am feeding only one person most of the time, but the rest is all plain meats or veggies.

Good for you on the dehydrating! I have been seeing reports on sugar shortages as well and am stocking up accordingly. From what I have read, sugar was one of the first things rationed during wartime. I always buy extra flour, too. I figure when the store shelves are empty, my family will still have bread.

It is my opinion that one can never, ever have too much bacon. :)

    2. Red.
You do not want to eat sugar from sugar beets which are sprayed with Roundup. As far as i know, sugar cane is still free of Roundup.

    1. I have that problem with celery. I wonder if it would help to blanch celery before dehydrating. I usually just slice and dry it.

    2. I blanched both the carrots and celery before dehydrating them. Both re-hydrated well in chicken soup. Starting grapes to raisins tomorrow, plus apples. Red

    3. Red...I always blanch carrots - no problem. Will try that with celery next time. I have not tried grapes to raisins yet. Lots of apples.

  12. First time reading your blog and wow, are you ever spot on with this witch hunt against Trump. How can some people be so blind to what is going on? When Trump said he would drain the swamp, I don't think he could have ever imagined just how deep it is. #Trump2020!

    1. Welcome Lucy...And thank you for your comment. I doubt anyone could have predicted the lengths the swamp rats would go to remove Trump from office. I don't understand the blind rage either, but he must be a real threat to the left's illusions of power. I pray for his safety because I really believe they will stop at nothing to get rid of him. And should they succeed, God help us all.
