Wake Up Call

I may have mentioned before that I have an old school mate who keeps me informed as to what is going on in this crazy world of ours.  He is a Vietnam vet and retired cop.  I trust his word.  Completely.

Yesterday I emailed him, asking him if his 'good old boy cop network' had any notion of how law enforcement would react to the gun grabbing laws like Virginia and Washington State are pushing for.  He said the out state officers are pro gun, but the administration in the city areas are totally anti-gun.  He went on to say that here in Minnesota, the State Senate is only two votes away from enacting the same laws as VA and WA.

He went on to elaborate that he thinks Washington will not wait until the 2020 election but will keep trying to remove Trump regardless.  By any means necessary.  He is looking at food shortages and gun grabs.  He just ordered 1800 servings of freeze dried products.  He has alternate places to go when things get really bad.

My friend says he is scared for his kids and grands who don't see the threat he sees.  This man has had a life of service and still at the same age as me, teaches conceal carry classes and is involved in martial arts.   I will tell you true - if he is scared, I am terrified.

The time to get the ducks in the row is now.  We may still have time.  Or we may not.  The hatred from the left is so completely insane that I wouldn't be surprised at anything they would do now to grab the power they so desperately seek and to push their socialist/globalist agenda.  Trump is about all that stands in their way.

Every extra can of food, every extra jar we home can, every extra pound of flour we set aside means one more day we can survive when it all goes south.

Pray and prepare.

Like the mustard seed we can move mountains and stop the crap. We as Americans need to lift our voices to Heaven. Then make certain persons lives unbearable. If everyone in a district contacted their Rep and gave them a ration of "Your behavior is .....". Then start looking for a practical person to replace the idiots. Or start a recall. They are not Penitent nor humble before God. Pray and Prepare. Red

    1. Red...There are so very many who will not put down the remote and get off the couch unless the fight comes directly to their front door. I agree that making those lives of Reps miserable and letting them know that our votes will go elsewhere is good. What I don't know is if their arrogance will allow them to realize we are serious.

I would like to get in touch with you. If that is not a problem, I can be reached at:

If it is a problem for you, I understand.

  2. I can't really afford to stock up like we used to, but I figure that we've only got a few years. If they kill us off, we'll just be with the Lord sooner. As for the kids, I feel sorry for the ones that know better, but most don't have a clue.

  3. Why would you suggest making their lives miserable? Milwaukee is a socialist city and not what we normally associate with socialism. But, so far Bernie does not impress me.

    1. Linda...I am talking about those who don't much care about my constitutional rights. In my state the government is working to make sure I have no way to defend myself or my home and family. If they succeed, what am I supposed to do when some nutter who doesn't care about the laws breaks into my apartment, fully armed. Throw a can of tomatoes at him? I will continue to fight any legislator who is trying to introduce socialism in any form and who is trying to pass laws that infringe on my rights.

    1. Rob...Every extra can of food goes to feeding our families one more day. You are miles ahead of those who refuse to see. Lists - I have them. I can't check things off them as quickly as I would like, but each time I do is one more day...

  5. Vicki, you don't know how much I wish we were just plain crazy and howling at the moon. How much I wish I could tell you how wrong you are, and with that so am I.

But I can't. The heavy certainty that blankets our days, our souls, our vigilance, our planning and our actions lead us ever closer to that day. That unspeakable day.

How I wish it wasn't so. I hope to meet you on the other side. Blessings to you and yours.

    1. Fern...Most days, just plain crazy would be much easier to take than is the knowledge of what we know to be true. It seems the masks that were worn to hide the evil intentions have been removed and the hatred is now on display for all to see. God help us.

If I get there before you and Frank do, look me up. I will be the one fishing from the end of the dock in front of the cabin on the lake. :)

  6. Vicki, on Titanic, the terrified stood, frozen in place, watching the water rise in the ship. The "sheep" continued to believe the ship unsinkable, even as she settled by the bow. Meanwhile, the PROACTIVE were securing seats in the lifeboats.

You, Vicki, are neither in the "terrified" nor the "sheep" camps... Neither, I would dare to say, are any of the others leaving comments here...

    1. Pete...My old classmate doesn't scare easily and neither do I. But when I find he is making serious preparations for what is coming, I know the situation is deadly serious and time is of the essence. As for being in the 'sheep' camp, you are right. Not bloody likely. I am afraid I just do not have it in me to 'go gentle into that good night.' I don't know as it will make much difference in the end, but it is good to know there are others who will not comply. I am in very good company!

  7. Thank you so much for keeping us informed, Vicki. Networking with like-minded people will become even more important as the days draw closer to whatever is coming to destroy our way of life. I know it is coming faster than I ever thought possible. Each of us will play a role in what happens, but dare I say it will be unstoppable and inescapable. As always, remain aware and prepare...CW

    1. CW...I totally agree with what you are saying. Sometimes we feel like we are the only one who sees what is coming. I am most grateful for all of you who chime in with your thoughts. Supporting one another is the best thing we can do. You are right about events happening at breakneck speed. God only knows how this will end. Keep praying and keep prepping.

    2. it is the speed never thought it would go to destruction so fast thought maybe a long slow decline takes a year to erect a building but only a few hours to tear one down

  8. This topic has really been on my mind since I read Frank and Fern's troubling essay back on the 14th. While I am not in complete denial about what's been going on, there's a part of me that keeps thinking we're trapped in some dystopian nightmare.

I never would have believed they could take us this far, this fast. Of course eight years of Barry O did a lot to advance the decline. And now, every day I hear some new outrageous statement from the Left.

For the past few weeks I've been trying to focus on the holidays, but I'm having a hard time getting into the spirit, in part I think because of all that's happening.

    1. sbrgirl...It totally does seem like a nightmare of biblical proportions. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would get to this place. But the hatred and the greed and the hunger for power is so strong within the corrupt that it really shouldn't surprise us. I think the change came when the elite stopped trying to mask their intentions and brought the evil out where it can be seen.

It is hard to get into a holiday spirit what with all the insanity around us, but we need to try. Following family traditions is important to give us some sense of normalcy. It is especially important to those who are aware. Sometimes I just have to shut off the world and do the things that make me happy, for those things are what also keep me from losing my mind. Gather your friends and family. Hug the kids and grands. And pray. Those are the truly important things.

  10. The dried squash is done and stowed away. Stopped by the bulk market and headed to the dried beans aisle. I grabbed 10 pounds of Red, White, Great Northern and 5 pounds of green lentils. All the pintos were gone. The only bags of rice left were 50 pounders. I know those with that unsettled feeling might want to make sure and do an inventory to see where the holes in their food storage are located. I plan on buying Christmas candy when it goes on sale and vacuum sealing it for later. There are times a small piece of chocolate helps. Red

    1. Red...Nice haul! I am working on an inventory. I know there are holes in the food storage that need to be filled. I have frozen green beans, sweet potatoes, spinach and hash browns to dehydrate coming with my grocery order tomorrow. And some canned fruit. Every two weeks I order extra flour and sugar. I can't get out and about these days, but hope to do another Sam's Club run come spring, if the bottom hasn't dropped out of our country by then. I might be able to get one of my kids to buy up candy after Christmas. Chocolate is always a good thing. :)

    2. also control of meds and medical services will be massive
thirdly police trained as attackers not peace officers will do whatever they are told a la tiananmen square as remus says, 'avoid crowds' [woodpile report]

    3. deb...The elite left want to control every aspect of our lives. When it gets really bad, I tend to think the UN forces will be called in to do the government's dirty work - grabbing guns - shutting up dissenters - getting rid of Christians with their morals and Bibles. Remus is spot on. Crowds are now dangerous. And as Frank says - 'don't get on the bus.'

    5. deb...I am not surprised. UN soldiers are not Peacekeepers. UN soldiers are the means used by those who want to create a One World Order.

  13. My daughters birthday presents this year were pressure canners. For Christmas they are getting 7 qt Dutch ovens. I am trying to get our houses in order. I really need to gather things for a high tunnel greenhouse on top of my ever expanding garden. Thanks so much for keeping us informed (and Frank and Fern). Praying daily for this country. I have to wonder with the rabid resistance now what next year will be like if Trump wins again. I am wondering how bloody it could get.

  14. Nano...You are wise to provide your kids the means to preserve food and take care of themselves. There are so very many who are clueless and don't have the foggiest notion of how to do much of anything except stare at a screen. Good for you on plans for the greenhouse. When the food supply is restricted, you will be ahead of the game. I am grateful to Frank and Fern, for they tell it like it is. The more we can help one another, the better off we will be. We are all in this together.

I think Trump will be re-elected and I believe we ain't seen nothin' yet. I fully expect to see those Soros funded groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter along with the MS13 gangs that the open border people are letting walk right in, to raise all sorts of bloody hell. I hope I am wrong. I pray I am wrong. But I am ramping up the preps as much as I possibly can - just on the off chance I and other like-minded folks are right. And I keep thinking if he does not win, it is all over but the crying.

Thanks for commenting and take care.
