Just got a phone call from Number One Son. He went to the Farmer's Market this morning. He is on his way here with 50 lbs. of cranberries, a dozen butternut squash, a couple of pumpkins and apples - not sure how many. I will resurface when all of it has been processed. And if you don't hear from me in a few days, send in a search party. Tell them to look under the mountain of produce. :)

May the force be with you! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gorges. That's funny! :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Vicki! Pace yourself, you have a lot of work to do!! I'll look for the jar count when you are finished.
ReplyDeleteFern
Fern...Half the squash is baking in the oven. Half is cooling. Pumpkins are ready to bake next. That's the easy part. :)
ReplyDeleteAll the apples will be frozen. Looks like well over a bushel. One canner load of pints of whole cranberries in syrup will be canned as an experiment to see how I like them that way. The rest of the cranberries are to be made into juice.
Nope. Won't be done any time soon! I'll post a jar/freezer bag count when done along with the instructions for making cranberry juice that you asked me about. And yes, it is a lot of work, but so well worth the time and effort.
