Crud

Slight headache.  Chills.  Snotty nose.

I can be found in my recliner, snuggled under the green fuzzy blanket, listening to Agatha Christie mysteries in audio book form.

I shall return when this crud goes away.  In the meantime, the folks listed on the sidebar have some good posts.  Hope you all have a fun weekend.

  1. I had that for one day last week. Hopefully, your bout lasts even a less amount of time.

    1. Thanks, Jess...Nothing serious - just can't seem to get warm. Don't suppose watching huge snowflakes fall helps much. :)

  3. Something hot and spicy to go with your audio book? Take good care. SJ

    1. SJ...Doing the hot chocolate thing today - complete with mini marshmallows. Agatha Christie doesn't write much hot and spicy, but she sure was good at keeping you guessing about 'who done it' until the very end.

  5. Oh no! Not the crud! I hope you recover quickly. If I lived next door, I'd bring you some healthy soup, hot tea and whatnot. Listening to audio books sounds so relaxing!

    1. Yup, Kristina...it's the crud alright. But it isn't serious - just mostly annoying. It is reassuring to know there are still neighbors who will bring soup and tea if you get sick. Not too many of us left these days.

I love audio books. I can sit and sew or crochet in the evening and listen to a good book, or like today I can just sit snuggled up under my green fuzzy blanket, watch the snowflakes drift past my window and listen to a good story. Life is good, even with the crud!

    1. Rob...Yep. My own fault. I can't control the temp inside so I keep a couple of windows cracked year around so it doesn't get too warm. I'm some better today - guess I will live. :)

  7. Couple of Tylenol for the chills...(chills usually means you are running a fever), and push the fluids. Avoid dairy and caffeine, just makes the crud last longer. Chicken soup, hot tea, ginger ale, toast, applesauce. Which reminds me, I need to pick up some ginger ale, and am turning the last of the apples into sauce tomorrow. If I wasn't so far away, I'd run some over for you. Feel better!!

  8. Fuzzy green blankets and books (in any form) are the best way to recover. Take care!

    1. Jenn...The fuzzy green blanket and my books have pretty much been my life the last couple of days. I think they are doing their job as I feel a bit better today.
