Still Busy

Slowing down is not an option.

Has anyone seen what the geniuses in the WEF (World Economic Forum) have decided?  Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, Al Gore, et al, have decided that our food needs to be rationed and we no longer need to eat meat.  Because, of course, climate change.

Bastards!

So if you will excuse me, I need to put away the 20 pints of pork loin and 10 pints of sweet potatoes that I canned a couple of days ago.  And slice 10 lbs. of potatoes to dehydrate.  And work on my next grocery order that will, I believe, contain lots of hamburger to can and freeze, and whatever else I can find to add to my food storage.

Think those who believe they are better than me are going to tell me what I can feed my family?  Nope.  Not hardly!

  1. Yeah; they decided this whilst drinking the most expensive champagne and eating $300.00/lb Japanese beef! The hypocrisy is ASTOUNDING!

...They can take turns kissing my lily-white caboose! Then again, maybe not. 'Never know where those lips have been!

They say that those who ignore their history are condemned to repeat it. The upside of this is that history has never been kind to these "Let them eat cake" types!

    Yeah... Keep that larder full...

    1. It is astounding to me, Pete, just how many of the elite are missing a soul. And yeah - wouldn't let them get that close. Don't know where they have been. Epstein Island ring any bells?

I have been told that not only do I have a fair amount of stubbornness, there may just be a goodly amount of ornery thrown in for good measure. Most Americans do not like being told what they may or may not do, especially when it comes to family. Damned if I will let anyone tell me what I can feed mine. Pound sand comes to mind.

Keep stacking as high as possible!!

  2. Yeppers, Vicki! Isn’t going to happen in my home, either. Another reason to stockpile now is the idea of further modified food. I’m trying to eat much less processed food these days. That’s a little bit of a problem since cooking is not my strong point but I’m learning.

    1. LTM...The fact that you are learning is a definite 'plus.' Good for you!

I have read where some European countries have decided that flour made from ground up crickets is allowed. I am not sure that trend has reached our shores, but I am certain it will. I now check ingredients in packaged foods. And I found it can be disguised as "Acheta Domesticus" on ingredient lists. This was doubly important when I found out that cricket flour can act like shellfish. I have a granddaughter with a peanut/shellfish allergy that could be extremely harmful to her.

Buggers are trying to get at us six ways from Sunday. Take good care!

  3. I hadn't seen this but I am not surprised. It makes me so glad we moved out of a big city to a small farming community that doesn't like being told what they can and can't do. It just gets uglier almost daily with the 'all knowing' elite. Stay safe!!

    1. Lori...I sometimes wonder what would happen if we collectively said "NO."

Isn't it amazing - the difference between city and country attitudes. I come from a long line of country folks, most of whom thought it better to take on more work than to stand in line for a handout. The elites may convince the city dwellers that they know what is best for the people, but that will never, ever fly in the small towns and rural areas. Never. And thank God for that! Take good care.

  4. Stacking it deep seems to be taking on even more of an urgency. I've seen reports of eastern wholesalers/brokers contacting western farmers looking to buy from them next harvest season due to the uncertainty of eastern farms being polluted. Any little bit we can grow will really help out too, even if it is just a jar of sprouts growing in the kitchen. Thanks for your thoughtful articles. You are much appreciated.

    1. Anon...Thank you for your kind words. I am not surprised that the western farmers are being looked at to combat eastern pollution. Our government's reaction to the Ohio chemical spill says all we need to know. We are absolutely on our own. You are spot on about growing whatever we can. As someone a while back said, "We will need every crumb."

  5. daughter met an environmental chemist at her job
his job is rehabilitating polluted sites
he lives near us and says our water should be okay
but he will not plant a garden this year in case rain is not good
he told her east palestine should be declared a dead zone from a 5 mile to a twenty mile radius
it is becoming clearer that this thing was purposed as it sits in the center of amish and other farmland and is drainage for the ohio river
keep praying, the enemy's thousand year old plans are coming to fruition river
cancers will abound soon in the palestine area
we won't plant this year except in porch pots
keep praying. the enemy's thousand year old plans are coming to fruition

    1. deb...Glad to hear that your water will be OK. I just don't understand that if this whole thing was planned, why on earth would they ruin the land they want to control. Guess the power hungry don't make much sense to me.

  6. The way that I see it, if the WEF really wanted us to be happy, they'd all line up and take a long walk off a short pier. They are certainly making the world a sadder place right now. However, I have faith in the Amish. They are a resourceful and resilient people. I have Mennonite ancestors and they often packed up and moved elsewhere to start over, ending up in Russia, and North & South America. Like you said a while ago "I am too old to fight and too fat to run" ha ha, and that is my husband and me right now. We will do what we can to help our friends and neighbours get through this, with encouragement and supplies. Perhaps this generation needs a bit of a wake-up call, to learn what is truly important in life. All is good, God is good.

    1. Anon...Thing is, they do not care whether we are happy or not, as long as we are compliant. But what they have not taken into consideration is that those of us with some age on us do not bow and scrape very well. You are spot on about the Amish. They have been doing their own thing for generations. I can not visualize them taking orders from anyone!

Even if we are too fat and too old, we can still continue to stock up in spite of what those who wish to own us think. To that end, I asked my son to do a Sam's Club run to get their 10 lb. rolls of hamburger for me to can. It gives me a certain amount of pleasure to do exactly what the elites say I should not do. I'm sort of ornery that way. :)
      Keep stacking. Keep praying!
