Hope Renewed

But with caution.  I can't believe that the left will quietly accept the results of yesterday's election.  Considering how many times they have tried and failed to get rid of Mr. Trump, I have no reason to believe they won't try again.

For now, I have hope that the country I love may be saved.  I have hope that all of the things we have been told divide us will fade away.  I even have hope that common sense might have a fighting chance to appear again.

Today I will ignore politics.  And politicians.  Today I will do some quilting or some reading or something else I enjoy.

And I will be spending time giving thanks to our God who answers our prayers.

  1. Yes, praise God, He does answer prayers. And now - after we catch our breath - we pray for His protection over the President-elect and all his family, his team, and all others newly elected. May our God continue exposing those who would do us harm, physically or politically.

    1. Yes, Rev. Paul...God be praised! You are spot on with continued prayer for all those involved. My opinion - the Left will stop at nothing to get rid of him.
When bad folks are brought out from under the rock where they live and are exposed to the sunshine, that sort of diminishes the power they think they have over us. God is really good at seeing that happens. Praise Him!

    2. God is good!

Praying in agreement for protection from any attacks directed at President Trump, VP Elect Vance, their families, and their teams.

    3. sbrgirl...God sure did save us from the horror we faced had the election gone the other way! And I have no doubt at all that prayers need to continue. Those folks have targets on their backs!

  2. Hi Vicki
Yes. Hope with caution. Yesterday I had an eye exam and then my grandson and I voted. I really didn’t have much hope. Today there’s at least a spark.
Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop preparing. It’s going to take a while to get things straightened out and it could very well be a dangerous undertaking….Jan

    1. Jan...It is my belief that God has brought us this far. You are right. We need to continue praying. We won't get our country back where it needs to be overnight. But at least now I have hope.

Preparations continue. Just because we have a victory doesn't mean that we are home free. The next couple of weeks I am trying to finish some quilt tops. Minnesota has already had a snow day, and more are to come. My freezer holds ingredients for filling more canning jars. Can't stop now. Stay safe, my friend.

  3. Indeed, we must continue praying, Vicki, both for Trump and for our country. America's return to greatness is truly contingent on America's return to GOD!

For the moment, I will rest in the fact that though my Conservative voice is SILENCED in California, the ROAR of the rest of Conservative America was enough to to overcome that! And I will raise my hands in thanks to God!

    1. Pete...I fear that just because our guy won, some will think all is well. It is not. And you are right - our country really needs to return to God, and we are a long way from that.

I sympathize with your voice being silenced where you live. Here we have another problem. Timmy will be headed back to Minnesota to continue working toward making our lives here as miserable as possible. I sure didn't want to see that fool in the role of vice pres., but at least when he was elsewhere, he wasn't bothering us. Sigh.

Giving thanks to God today for prayers answered.

    2. I don't think they're done, but we have been given a reprieve. We need to use it wisely!

Sorry about Timmy -- how much longer in his term?

    3. No...they are not done. As for Timmy, we are stuck with him for maybe another couple of years. Not sure. I don't want him back here, but as VP, it would have been catastrophic!!

    4. Pete...You have my sympathy! Wish we could maybe use both as experiments on one of Elon's Mars rockets. Ya think?

    5. Anything to get both of them as far away from us as possible!!

  4. Still praying hard for protection around MrTrump and his family and his team. And prayers of thanks for answered prayer.
I too am in California but the rural and red side of the state. I was encouraged when I read some statistics early this morning. I believe 67% of the California vote had been counted at the time, give or take my memory. Yes the state continues to be blue but there are lots of us patriots. As of my reading this morning - about 6M Blue to about 4M for MrTrump. A 3 to2 ratio, Those numbers are encouraging to me that there is hope for even this state.
    SJ. now in California

    1. SJ...Prayers never ceasing!!

Many believe that Minnesota is also a totally blue state. Truth be known, there are many outside the cities who still are God fearing, Jesus loving Christians who don't buy into the foolishness of the left woke agenda. And bless them for standing firm in their beliefs, especially when our local governments are so very far away from our Constitutional freedoms.

We need to keep prepping. And praying. And I know I don't need to tell you that, my friend. May you and Puppy Girl be truly blessed!

    2. I'm with you, Lucky...Taking time away from politics just now and concentrating on home and prep stuff. I don't think the danger has passed, either. So far, at least in my area close to Minneapolis, the predicted riots haven't happened. So still keeping an eye on events and preparing. And as always, prayers continue. Take good care.

  6. We must continue praying. It is a looong time until Jan. 2025. Alot could happen or be done in this time. They are going along to easily. This alone makes me cautious.

    1. I am in complete agreement, Morning Sun...

When I think back on all they have done and tried to do to this man, I simply do not believe they will just let it go. It is too quiet. That leads me to think they are busy plotting what to do to him next.

Time for prayer without ceasing! God bless you and yours.
