Been off line a few days and actually reading a book!! Look at all you've done.Wow! A friend is going to a fruit stand and offered to buy me raspberries and blueberries. I gladly threw some cash in her direction, ha! Will be canning them tomorrow as my freezer is chock full. Might throw a few in the dehydrator as an experiment. Cheers, SJ in Vancouver BC
SJ...Sounds like when Son says he is going to the Farmers Market - I toss cash at him and tell him what I would like him to bring home! Raspberries and blueberries - love them both. But both are really spendy here. I have never tried dehydrating either of them, so please let me know how the experiment goes.
It is really nice to be able to take a day or two off and just enjoy. I am back up to about half speed today, so getting a few thing done. Takes longer to recover these days, I guess. :)
Harry...That's probably the best advice I have received in a long time. Kind of makes me wish I hadn't had to give up the booze all those years ago. Guess I will watch the world go by, coffee cup in hand. Not nearly as much fun, though. :)
Rob...Sometimes it takes a day or so to recover after a marathon canning session. This old body just doesn't bounce back like it once did. :) Son came over last evening and helped me with the machines, so I hope to make good use of them later today.
Mom of four, Grandma of six, and Great Grandma of two, who writes about events both past and present, about preparedness and an occasional rant tossed in for good measure, as well as anything else that happens to come to mind, and who enjoys my retired life in general.
Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gorges...It was a nice relaxing day.

Crack open a bottle of Southern Comfort, open a can of coke, and let the world flow by!
