Like so many others, I am a bit busy before the holidays. Computer time takes a back seat. My family will gather as we have for several years now, at my daughter's home for Christmas Eve brunch. I think this is my favorite time of year when everyone is together.
I will likely not be posting until after the holiday, so I am using this opportunity to wish one and all a very blessed Christmas. I value each and every one of you who take the time to stop by this silly little blog. Your comments make me think, make me smile. It is like a get-together of friends with the click of a mouse.
May God bless you all in this season when we celebrate the birth of His Son. And may the flicker of hope for a better year to come continue to grow.
Love to you all,
Vicki

Merry Christmas, Vicki! Enjoy the time with your family.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you, too, Spikessib...Hope your holiday is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWe never know what the kids will be up too, so we make plans on spending the season alone and then jump if they decide to include us! LOL It ain't like the old days with us, when plans were made a month ahead.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you and your family have a great Christmas!
Gorges...I remember those days as well. Christmas Day was always the time the whole family was together for a big Christmas dinner, sledding and skating if the weather was decent - board games for the kids if it wasn't. I miss those days.
ReplyDeleteA very Merry Christmas to you, the Mrs. and of course the Mighty Dachshund!
Vicki

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Jenn...Family time - that's what it is all about, isn't it. I am so glad I found your blog. I really do enjoy reading it and your photos are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas my friend, give the kids big hugs.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas back at ya, Rob...hugs to your family as well.
ReplyDeleteMy two kids are arriving Christmas day for two weeks. We have been buying expensive foods they like. My wife makes a list, we go to the store, I squawk and wring my hands, but cheaper substitutes will not do for "the babies" (One is 31 and the other 30 now). We put up a Christmas Tree. I tell my wife the cats will pull it down. The cats climb up in it and pull all the ornaments off, but we have to have a tree for the kids.
ReplyDeleteStill, with all the craziness, I am looking forward to Christmas and the family being together again.
I hope you have a happy, worry free Christmas with your family.
Sorry, Harry...but I'm going to just sit back and laugh at you because if I were in the same situation as your wife, I would be doing the very same things. (And my "babies" range in age from 46 to 52!!). The only thing stopping me is the fact that my apartment is way too small to hold all of us at one time.
ReplyDeleteIt is good that your kids get to be home with you and are able to spend some time there. That's what it is all about - family. Here's wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas. And I still have a shred of hope left that the New Year may be better for us all than the past eight have been.
I have not commented in a while but I love to read your blog. Merry Christmas Vicki. May all your Christmas wishes come true.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to hear from you, steakandeggs...Wishing you and yours a truly Merry Christmas!
