I have always known...

that the elite play by a different set of rules.  That the laws that apply to me do not apply to them.

But never before today have I had my face rubbed in it quite to this degree.

Perhaps it is past time to get our ducks all in a row.

  1. BW...I think we here in the States are in for a real bumpy ride. Nothing good can come from this at all.

  3. Gorges...I was sort of hoping that Comey would have the guts to do the right thing. I was wrong.

  4. Blackmail. Or their families are being threatened. It's a terrible price to pay for fleeting power.

  5. CM...This whole thing just stinks. Whatever it is that's going on behind the scene, it is pure evil.

  6. When I went to work for the Oil and Gas company in 1993, and started working with the Bureau of Land Management and other government agencies on the issues of land leases, I soon learned that not all men are created equal in the eyes of the law. If you have money and contacts in the right places, you can do just about anything. I guess that applies to all areas of human endeavor. It shouldn't be that way, but it is.

  7. Harry...I have always wanted to believe that what was good and right would prevail. And I guess in the back of my mind there lingered a little bit of hope. But that is no more. When the elite can walk away from committing felonies unscathed and when they seem to delight in rubbing our noses in it as was done this week, all hope for the average joe is demolished. I have been watching some of the House committee hearings with Comey this morning and have come to the conclusion that Congress is nothing more than a high priced dog and pony show. Badly acted, at that.

As a side note, gangs of Somalis are now going into upscale white neighborhoods within about 20 miles of my home, and shouting threats of rape - asking if the women are familiar with Sharia law. One of these neighborhoods is on a popular lake and they cleared the beach with their behavior a day or so ago. And nobody seems too interested in stopping them. Local news outlets are ignoring it. If we in Minnesota aren't ready, seems to me we had better get ready - soon.....very soon.

  8. It goes to show just how politically corrupt our country has become. Kinda makes Richard Nixon look like a choir boy. Duane

  9. Duane...It is so very sad. There was a time when truth and honesty and integrity meant something. Now it seems that if government officials can do despicable things and get away with it, they gain more money and power. It is a continuing source of pride to me that my children retain those values that are a testament to their strength of character.

    Love, Mom
